Estill Springs, TN


Estill Springs is another town in Franklin County, Tennessee with a population of about 2,100. Most local people call it Estill. Years ago the area was known for its mineral springs that belonged to the Cherokee people in this region. There was a gentleman named Frank Estill in the area that owned considerable property. Mr. Estill also donated a right of way to the railroad so that the town would be named after him. It was once believed that Estill Springs would be a popular spa town using the mineral waters to attract tourist. Today the Town of Estill Springs is well known for it’s beautiful Tims Ford Lake, lush farm land and amazing homes that welcome all walks of life.
